Mont Blanc

Category: Mountain and wild nature
Year: 2004
Time: 52 min
Country: France
Camera-man: Thierry Machado
Director: Liesl Clark

Subject: In 1892, in the Mont Blanc massif, a part of the ‘Tete Rousse’ glacier fell down the mountain, taking with it 800.000 cubic meters of soil, trees and rocks and causing 175 victims. To evaluate the risk and see how did glacial mass work, two glaciologists, Luc Moreau and Peter Carsten, went into a world totally unknown at some tens of meters from the surface.
