Subject: Last summer, as a result of the greenhouse effect, warmer temperatures were once again recorded throughout the Alps. This phenomenon started in the 80s, and its consequences are beginning to be clearly noticeable. The most obvious effect of climatic change is the withdrawal of the Alpine glaciers. This releases unstable ground, causing landslides and mudflows. The current affairs programme Falò looked into this issue by conducting its investigation in the French, Italian and Swiss Alps.
